【明報專訊】Gymnastics is fun to watch. However, it is extremely challenging and requires athletes to have excellent physical agility and coordination. The All Hong Kong Inter-Primary Schools Gymnastics Competition will begin on 11 March 2017. Let's learn more about the amazing sport!

Big words

Vault (跳馬) — It is an event during which gymnasts run towards and spring onto a vaulting table, do twists and turns in the air before landing on a mat.

Still rings (吊環) — It is exclusive to men. A gymnast grips firmly on two suspended rings when he performs a routine (一套動作), during which he attempts to keep the rings as still as possible.

Uneven bars (高低槓) — It is for female gymnasts only. Two horizontal bars are set at different heights. A gymnast must jump from bar to bar when she does her routine.
