¡i©ú³ø±M°T¡jThe Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) has recently launched the "Vision of Love Mobile Eye Care Project" (¬Ý¨£·R¬y°ÊÅ@²´p¹º) to promote eye healthcare for the needy. As part of the project, a multi-purpose vehicle has got equipped with vision screening equipment.
According to Dr Chi-wai Do (§ù§Ó°¶), Associate Head of the School of Optometry (²´¬ìµø¥ú¾Ç°|) of PolyU, people of lower social status tend to pay less attention to their sight problems because of financial difficulties or a lack of awareness. It is hoped that the vehicle can reach out to the community and provide timely visual screening services for those in need.
