【明報專訊】The greatest height a horse has ever jumped is 2.47 metres. It was a record achieved by a horse called Huaso, which was originally named Faithful. It was ridden by Captain Alberto Larraguibel Morales in Chile (智利) in 1949 when it jumped over a fence of 2.47 metres tall. The record has not been broken to date. ■Glossary fence (n) 柵欄
