Yarn bombing is a new movement of street art that has gained popularity in recent years. Artists wrap public facilities such as phone boxes, benches in parks and lamp posts in colourfully knitted or crocheted yarn works. (picture 2)
◆World record
Think you need fancy tools and excellent skills for knitting? Ida Sofie Myking Veseth from Norway proved that all you need is patience. The 14-year-old girl with deteriorated eyesight has woven a crochet rope with her fingers. The rope measured 19.3695 km and broke the record for the longest finger knitting in 2016.
