【明報專訊】Dr Panda and Bill can't wait to get their own Scottish kilts (蘇格蘭短褶裙). Wait! Is it not Eason that is selling them kilts?

“ Bill: Their skirts are so pretty! I want one! ”

“ Dr Panda: Those are Scottish kilts. ”

“ Eason: Do you want to have one of your own? You may choose whatever pattern you like. ”

“ Eason: Thank you for your deposits. You will get your kilts in two days! ”

“ Bill: This is not a kilt I want! ”

■Culture tips

"Skirts" Scottish men sometimes wear are called kilts. Made of thick, woven fabric with a tartan pattern, a kilt is part of Scotland's traditional dress. Scots wear kilts on special or important occasions like weddings, funerals and university graduations. If you are in Scotland, you will commonly see kilts in tourist areas. There are shops selling kilts in different colours and patterns. A Scottish man is usually in a kilt when he plays the bagpipe (pictured).

■English highway﹕can't wait to...

If you can't wait to do something, you are very excited about it and eager to do or experience it.

e.g. I can't wait to see you at school tomorrow.
