【明報專訊】Ciao! I'm Rita from Italy. I am staying here in Hong Kong for 10 months, and I'm looking forward to a life-changing experience! I'm really happy to stay here with my host family whom I consider my second family!

Delicious local food

One of the most interesting things I have done last month was trying lots of famous food in Hong Kong, like fish balls and egg tarts. These kinds of local food, in my mind, represent Hong Kong. Another interesting thing was celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival with my host family. And I went to Mong Kok one day, and I saw some artists singing and dancing, although I thought they did not master that. It was too funny.

I discovered a lot of good points and bad points of coming here.

One of the bad points is being far away from my birth place, friends and family. But that leads to one of the good points—— in Hong Kong I have a new family, new friends and a lot of exciting things to discover.

When I first met my host family here, I was a little bit scared. But after some days, I started to feel comfortable with them and now I feel like at home.

I go to school with my sister who studies at the same school with me. Now I have a lot of friends in my class! At first it was hard for me because my classmates were a bit too shy. In fact, all of them are very nice to me!

I love everything in Hong Kong and I am looking forward to living here for another 9 months. I hope they will be like the one I have just had!
