【明報專訊】Formula One (一級方程式) is an auto racing sport (賽車運動). The 2016 Formula One World Championship Race takes place between March and November in various parts of the world. This October there will be races in the US and Mexico (墨西哥).
Big words
Pit — an area separated from the racing track where tires are replaced and cars are fulled or repaired. Each racer has his own pit garage.
Lollipop — It is the sign on a stick a man holds in front of a car during a pit stop to tell the driver in the car to apply the brakes (picture).
Safety car — It is a vehicle called to run in front of the leading car in a race if such a thing happens that the cars in the race have to slow down.
