Stephen Hawking (1942 - 2018) was a British scientist. He is one of the most influential scientists. He is known for his works on black holes and the universe. He helped us understand how the world began.

He studied physics, chemistry and cosmology at two of the world's best universities. Unfortunately, when he was only 21, he was told by his doctor that he had a serious disease. To make matters worse, he was told that he had only two more years to live. He started to face difficulties in walking, talking and eating by himself. Later, he became unable to talk. Luckily, he could still communicate with a robotic voice by using a special computer.

Despite his sufferings, he never stopped working. He wrote his books in simple words so that everyone could understand easily. He is still the inspiration of many because of his strong mind.
