【明報專訊】You may have heard of scuba diving (水肺潛水) or snorkelling(浮潛). However, there are other extraordinary underwater experiences which offer a deeper connection to the natural world.

Norway - Ice diving

Ice diving in Norway offers a once-in-a-lifetime exploration beneath frozen waters. Divers enter through drilled ice holes to discover vibrant marine life. Ice diving requires specialised training and equipment due to the extreme conditions, including cold water temperatures, limited visibility and potential for ice hazards. During their ice diving expeditions, divers can encounter a variety of marine life such as colourful corals, wolf fish, king crabs and even seals.

Mexico - Cenote diving

In Mexico, cenote diving offers a unique adventure. Cenotes (石灰阱), natural sinkholes (地陷) filled with freshwater, are often connected to underground river systems. Diving in these cenotes provides a chance to explore unique underwater caves and tunnels. Guided by knowledgeable local coaches emphasising ecosystem conservation, cenote diving is suitable for divers of various skill levels, from beginners to experienced cave divers.
