¡i©ú³ø±M°T¡jOfficially opened on 20 January 2019, the Xiqu Centre (À¸¦±¤¤¤ß) is one of the Western Kowloon Cultural District's landmark buildings. The building's design is inspired by traditional Chinese lanterns. It is a theatre, arts education centre and public space.

The Xiqu Centre houses a Grand Theatre (picture) which can accommodate more than 1,000 people, and a Tea House Theatre with a capacity of 200 seats. There are also professional studios and a seminar hall. All the venues and facilities are specially designed for Chinese opera-related functions and activities.

The official opening of the centre is marked by a performance of the classic Cantonese Opera The Reincarnation of Red Plum (¡m¦A¥@¬õ±ö°O¡n) , under the direction of stage legend Pak Suet-sin (¥Õ³·¥P), and starring Cantonese opera stars Chan Po-chu (³¯Ä_¯]) and Mui Suet-see (±ö³·¸Ö).
