MassKara Festival
The MassKara Festival is an annual event held every fourth Sunday of October in Bacolod, the Philippines. "MassKara" means a mass or multitude of smiling faces. People celebrate the MassKara Festival by wearing smiling-faced masks, colorful costumes and unique accessories, while parading and dancing on the streets of Bacolod. This festival contains a message about being happy despite being in the toughest state of life, so Bacolod is also nicknamed the 'City of Smiles'.
