¡i©ú³ø±M°T¡jCrew members from large entertainment corporations in the US had planned to go on a strike on 18 October 2021 in light of excessively long working hours and inadequate protection of their welfare.

The crew members alleged that workers behind the scenes often need to work up to 14 hours per day, while their wage remains unreasonably low. But the planned strike was averted and a deal has been made between the representatives and the companies.

The union, The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, announced that the negotiators had agreed to sign a new three-year contract to the workers. The contract addresses the issues like rest periods, meal breaks, pay raise, as well as better protection of the welfare of the workers.

¡§ Bill: Inhumane working conditions! Unreasonably low pay and long working hours! ¡¨
