¡i©ú³ø±M°T¡jI have been living in Hong Kong for almost nine months now. Since I come from Bangkok, Thailand, I have easily got used to city life here in Hong Kong. Hong Kong is very different from Thailand in terms of housing.
Though Bangkok is really crowded, people live in houses because they are affordable. That seems impossible in Hong Kong. Lots of people have to live in tiny flats. I found that inconvenient at first, but later I found that facilitated communication between family members.
When it comes to Thailand, the first thing that comes into people's minds may be Thai food. Thai dishes are famous for their hot, sour and spicy tastes. I really miss Thai delicacies, especially "papaya salad". In Hong Kong, people mostly eat with chopsticks, while in Thailand we use chopsticks to eat only noodles.
There are many memorable moments of this exchange year. I've met new friends from school and become friends with other exchange students. I've tried to learn Cantonese. Strangers always talk to me in Cantonese because I look like a Chinese. Sometimes I answer them correctly in Cantonese! At such moments I am really proud of myself because I've learnt something new!
