Mission﹕Flower market
【明報專訊】Have you ever visited a Lunar New Year fair (年宵市場), also called a "flower market" ? They are held annually a few days before Lunar New Year. At such a fair there is hundreds of stalls selling various kinds of goods. Stalls selling flowering plants typically take up half of the area of such a market. The other half is occupied by stalls selling dry products. As 2015 is a Year of the Goat, you will find many dolls, cushions and decorations in goat or sheep designs at such markets.
The biggest and most popular flower market in Hong Kong is the one in Victoria Park. It is most crowded a few hours before and after midnight of New Year's Eve, when people do their last-minute shopping.
