【明報專訊】Do you admire people with high IQ? Recently a 14-year-old boy, Rtvik Patel, has been hailed a genius after achieving the highest possible IQ of 162 - which is thought to exceed both Stephen Hawking (霍金) and Albert Einstein (愛因斯坦). The average adult has an IQ of 100.
IQ stands for intelligence quotient. In general, it is an assessment of your ability to think and reason. An IQ test primarily measures mathematical and spatial reasoning, logical ability, and language understanding. Having high IQ may make you perform better at school, but it doesn't guarantee you wealth or success. There are some other qualities which IQ tests do not measure such as personality, talent, persistence and application.

Mensa, the high IQ society, provides a forum for intellectual exchange among its members around the world. Eason comes across the following question at the Mensa website. Do you know the answer?
"Sally likes 225 but not 224; she likes 900 but not 800; she likes 144 but not 145. Which does she like - 1600 or 1700?"

Eason: The answer is C. I have higher IQ and I must be correct.
Dr Panda: No. It should be A.
