Chamber music festival
¡i©ú³ø±M°T¡jChamber music may not be the jewel in the crown of classical music but is certainly an art form beloved by musicians. Compared to orchestral music(ºÞ©¶¼Ö), it is played in a relatively small room by a miniature ensemble (¼Ö¹Î) without a conductor.
Today is the beginning of the Hong Kong International Chamber Music Festival, which will span for a week from 17 to 24 January. This year marks the ninth anniversary of the event. It has been regarded as one of the greatest cultural events in Hong Kong for inviting renowned musicians and singers. Local and international artists will be under the same roof and perform together, giving the audience huge enjoyment.
There are altogether six concerts in the festival, with one especially for students.
Comprising Debussy's Sonata («µ»ï¦±) for Flute(ªø²Ã)by French flautist Patrick Gallois and Faurˆm's Impromptu (§Y¿³¦±) No. 6 by harpist (½Ýµ^®a) Emmanuel Ceysson, the concerts this year will not disappoint lovers of chamber music. Come and relish the world-class musicians performing their best repertoire (¦±¥Ø)!
