Spotlight:Anti-smoking musical
【明報專訊】Smoking may cause health problems like cancers, cardiac diseases and respiratory diseases. According to the Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health (COSH, 香港吸煙與健康委員會), a smoker is ten times likelier to get lung cancer than a non-smoker.
Recently, COSH has partnered Chung Ying Theatre (中英劇團) to produce a musical titled Smoke-free Alliance (《無煙聯盟》). It is about the conflict between a group called Smoke-free Alliance and a tobacco (煙草) group. The musical will tour primary schools until March 2017. Schools that want their students to see it should hand in their applications as soon as possible.
