He was a Colombian (哥倫比亞的) writer and journalist who is regarded as one of the greatest writers in Spanish literature in 400 years. A Nobel Prize was awarded to him for his novels and short stories, which combine fantasy and reality in a world of imagination.
Ernest Hemingway (海明威)
He was an American writer and journalist who was awarded a Nobel Prize in 1954 for mastering the art of narrative and his influence on the contemporary style.
Bob Dylan (卜戴倫)
Called by some "the rock poet" (搖滾詩人) , he is this year's Nobel laureate in Literature. He is the first singer-songwriter to receive the prize for his American songs with new poetic expressions.
Gao Xingjian (高行健)
He became the first Chinese-speaking Nobel laureate in Literature in 2000. A writer of prose, translator, dramatist, director, critic and artist, he is said to have opened new paths for Chinese novels and plays with universal validity, bitter insights and linguistic ingenuity.
