◆bare one's teeth
To show an angry or violent reaction to against something or someone.
e.g. He suddenly bared his teeth when I brought up political issues.
◆Kick in the teeth
It means being treated badly and unfairly, even when you expect something good may happen.
e.g. She had expected the economy to grow robustly and swiftly this year, but the pandemic was a kick in the teeth.
