DIY﹕Chocolate cake pops
【明報專訊】Candies ready for next week's Halloween trick-or-treat? If not, just follow the recipe below and prepare some chocolate cake pops for your friends and neighbours. They'll be thrilled!
◆Ingredients
.leftover cake
.biscuit sticks
.chocolate bars
.chocolate spread
.toppings
(1) Crumble the leftover cake into a plastic bag or a large bowl.
(2) Add the chocolate spread to the crumbled cake. Mix well.
(3) Roll the cake mixture into cake balls. Press one end of a biscuit stick into the cake ball.
(4) Put the chocolate bars in a hot water bath until they are melted. Stir until smooth.
(5) Gently dip the cake ball into the melted chocolate.
(6) Add the toppings before the chocolate solidifies. Enjoy the fabulous chocolate cake pops!
Quick tip
Handle the biscuit sticks with care when you do the dipping as they are easy to break. To make things easier, you can just use coloured sticks or straws.
