【明報專訊】It's is nearly half a year since I left Hong Kong. I still remember that, the moment the plane landed on the Zurich Airport, I looked out of the window. I was thrilled. But I was at the same time nervous because everything was new to me. Thanks to my host family here, I really enjoy living in Switzerland!

My host family helps me a lot with my High German (高地德語). In Switzerland, people speak Swiss German in their daily life, but my hosts have chosen to speak High German at home. They teach me patiently and tolerate my mistakes. They always help me with my problems.
unforgettable birthday celebration
I celebrated my 18th birthday here with my host family. That was definitely unforgettable. I was totally surprised by the colourful balloons and decorations my host parents had prepared. And they prepared for me Raclette, a typical Swiss food. I had never thought of having all those things and I really feel dearly loved by my host family!
It is really challenging to take in a new family member. I really want to say “Danke für Alles (Thank you for everything!)” to my host family. Stefan and Sandra, I thank you for taking care of me. Oli and S?mi , I thank you for the fun moments at home! Susanna, I thank you for your support though you're in Ireland this moment! I love this family and I'm proud to be one of its members!
