【明報專訊】Do you like reading the Guinness Book of World Records? Do you know that animals can be world record holders too? Let’s take a look at some of the world record holding animals.

◆England - Pika and Zippo, the oldest living cat siblings

As of August 2021, the world's oldest living cat siblings are twins Pika and Zippo from England. They celebrated their 21st birthday this year. They are both black and white domestic cats who have been living with the Teece family in London for their entire lives. Since the average lifespan for an indoor cat is about 12 to 15 years, Pika and Zippo are considered very old. (photo.1)

◆Austria - Alexis, the smartest cat

Alexis is an 8-year-old cat owned by Austrian Anika Moritz. Anika has been training her cat since it was a 3-month-old kitten. During training time, Alexis is always rewarded a treat or a compliment after every trick. It is because Anika wants to make training time fun and worthy for her cat. Alexis can complete 26 tricks within one minute. The instructions include ''sit'', ''high five'', ''wave paws'', ''shake head'', etc. (photo.2)

◆The United States of America - Norman, the fastest dog on a scooter

Dogs are relatively easy to train to do tricks. Surprisingly, Norman the French sheepdog could do some very special tricks. As big as a human child, it could ride a scooter and a bike. It was verified by Guinness World Records as the fastest dog on both a scooter and a bicycle, making it the holder of two world records. Sadly, Norman died years ago. (photo.3)
