【明報專訊】''Entertainment sparks more joy when it is themed.'' The popularity of theme parks, themed museums, and waterparks is evidence of this statement.

◆What is the accumulated number of people visiting the top 10 theme park groups in 2019?

521 million. There was a 4% increase in attendance, compared to 2018. The top theme park group was Walt Disney Attractions, which had an attendance of 155 million. The most famous park operated by this group is Disneyland.

The second-largest group was Merlin Entertainments Group with an attendance of 67 million. Legoland was operated by this group. OCT Park(華僑城集團) from China came third, with an attendance of 54 million.

◆Where were the top theme parks located?

Among the top 25 theme parks worldwide, 9 were from the US. 6 were from China (including 2 from Hong Kong), and 4 were from Japan .

◆What was the most visited theme park in 2019?

Magic Kingdom theme park at Walt Disney World Resort in the United States, with an attendance 21 million. The two theme parks in Hong Kong were among the top 25 theme parks as well! Ocean Park ranked 20 while Hong Kong Disneyland ranked 21. They both had an attendance of over 5 million.
