【明報專訊】One Direction (usually abbreviated as 1D) is an English-Irish pop boy band based in London, the UK. It is composed of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. The group started with five people when they came third in The X Factor in 2010. Zayn Malik, who opted for a solo career, left the group on 25 March 2015.
History, their new single, may be interpreted as a celebration of the boy band's five-year journey alongside its fans. The music video of it includes footage taken the moment the band came third in The X Factor and during its concerts. The group actually brought some of its fans to the studio and had their cheers recorded.
