Italy – Casu marzu

Casu marzu, also known as the ''rotten cheese'', is a kind of sheep milk cheese which contains living insects. The insects give the cheese a soft texture and a unique taste. When you eat this, you may see worms wriggling clearly!

The Philippines – Baluts

Baluts (鴨仔蛋) are so popular that they are available everywhere from street stalls to restaurants. A balut is a boiled duck egg which contains a developed duck embryo. There is a tiny duck inside with a face and sometimes with a beak and feathers!

Thailand – Insects

Insects are common snacks in Thailand. You can find thousands of deep fried or roasted insects when you go to the local markets. These insects are raised for food consumption. Some Thai people enjoy eating ants, beetles, worms, grasshoppers, spiders, scorpions, etc. Most of them are crunchy and some of them are creamy or juicy.
