Different from previous series, the new set of banknotes adopt a layout of vertical orientation rather than the traditional horizontal layout. ◆Tea Culture
YUM CHA, or ''drinking tea'', is widely recognized as a traditional activity that most Hong Kong families do on weekends or during holidays. When someone offers you a cup of tea, to express your gratitude for it, you may bend and tap your fingers on the table. It is said to originate from an ancient servant bending his fingers instead of kneeling down when the emperor in disguise poured tea for his servant. (photo.1)
