【明報專訊】A seven-year-old girl from Hereford, the UK, wrote Google a letter to ask for a job. She was delighted to receive a personal response from the company's CEO.
In her handwritten letter, Chloe Bridgewater expressed her desire to work in Google. She mentioned her qualifications, saying she liked computers and had a tablet on which to play games. She even provided references. "My teachers tell my mum and dad I am very good in class and am good at my spelling and reading and my sums." "My dad told me that if I carry on being good and learning things one day I will be able to have a job at Google," Chloe wrote, adding that she didn't know what a job application really was. It is only Chloe's second letter. Her first missive went to Father Christmas.
Chloe received from Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, a surprising reply, which has gone viral. In his letter, Pichai encourages the little girl to keep working hard and following her dreams, from that of working at Google to that of swimming at the Olympics. "I look forward to receiving your job application when you are finished with school!" wrote Pichai.
