¡i©ú³ø±M°T¡jIn the 1800s, a game called "Poon" was played in India (¦L«×). Some British Army officers brought the game to England. It was introduced to guests of the Duke of Beaufort at his estate, which was called Badminton House (§B©ú¹y¤s²ø) in Gloucestershire (§iù¤h¥´°p), England. The game became popular there. That is the reason why the sport is called badminton.
