【明報專訊】China adopted novel technologies(嶄新技術) to facilitate the smooth and safe operation of the Games. In the Olympic Village, smart biometric technologies(生物識別技術) were adopted where temperature checks, identity checks and vaccination record checks were performed solely through robots. The government also paid special attention to air ventilation and disinfection in the village.

An unusual Olympic Games

Several countries announced diplomatic boycotts(外交杯葛) against the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, meaning that they would only send athletes but not delegations or officials to participate in the Games. The United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, along with some other countries declared diplomatic boycotts against the Games. In response to the boycott acts, on 27 January 2022, the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi warned the United States to stop interfering in the Olympic Games.
