放眼世界：Enjoy the view of Victoria Harbour
【明報專訊】I am Mariana. I'm an exchange student from Brazil staying in Hong Kong this year. I have been here since the end of last August. It has been amazing so far. Last month, I went to a lot of great places and met a lot of amazing people - locals and other exchange students. I have had a lot of amazing new experiences. I've gone to a beach in Lantau Island, eaten dim sum in restaurants, enjoyed the view of Victoria Harbour and taken the Star Ferry. I watched the fireworks on the National Day of China.
East Meets West
Hong Kong is literally where the East meets the West. You can walk in some old Chinese districts where no one speaks English and, the same day, you can go up to the 103th floor of the ICC Tower, one of the tallest buildings in the world. It is certainly a place everyone should visit at least once.
My host family were a big good surprise. We have dinner together every night, and they always want to show me the city and local foods. I never thought I would have a family in the other side of the world, and I know I am very lucky. I am very excited about spending nine more months with them.
