Readers' corner：Fun at the beach
【明報專訊】Last Sunday, the Wong family went to a beach in Sai Kung. It was sunny and hot. Everyone was enjoying themselves at the beach. Grandpa was sleeping under the umbrella. Jane built a huge sandcastle and collected shells to decorate it. Dad and Mum went to buy some ice cream. Mark did not like going to the beach. He only liked playing tricks on others. He was bored. Suddenly, he got an idea.
Mark wanted to scare his parents. He put his cap on the sandcastles and hid himself in the bushes. Dad and Mum came back with the ice cream, but they couldn't see Mark. Dad looked around and only saw Mark's cap on the sandcastle. They became nervous.
At that moment, Jane told her parents, "I have an idea!" Then, Jane shouted, "The ice cream is so yummy. I am going to eat Mark's too!" Mark jumped out of the bushes immediately. "No! That's my ice cream!" he screamed. Everyone laughed. (Text edited)
