Mission﹕Red leaves
【明報專訊】Many would travel far to other places just to admire seasonal scenery of red leaves. Japan, Korea and Canada are known as the best places for seeing spectacular views of red leaves. Red leaves are also found in rural locations in Hong Kong like Tai Tong (大棠) in Yuen Long and Tai Tam (大潭) on Hong Kong Island. In both places you see sweet gum trees (楓香), the commonest trees with red foliage in the territory. Sweet gum leaves are similar in shape to Canadian maple leaves.
