Talk of the town : Tiangong space station
【明報專訊】Shenzhou-14 astronauts carried out their first extra-vehicular activities on September 1. The Shenzhou-14 astronauts are Chen Dong(陳冬), Liu Yang(劉洋)and Cai Xuzhe(蔡旭哲). During the six-hour spacewalk, Cai coordinated the activities inside the cabin.

What is the Tiangong space station?
China launched the Shenzhou-14 spacecraft on 5 June in order to complete the construction of the space station 'Tian-gong'. The name of space station 'Tian-gong' means 'heavenly palace'. As Chinese tradition has it, 'tian-gong' is a palace where the God of Heaven (玉帝) lives. Tiangong space station is predicted to be operated by the end of 2022. Tiangong aims to provide an international platform for technological corporation and various experiments in space.
