【明報專訊】One after another, the United States, China and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have launched missions to Mars, which are crucial to discovering its signs of life!
Perseverance (「毅力號」), the US's rover, is the most advanced one ever sent and will stay on Mars to analyse its geology (地質). Tianwen-1 (「天問一號」), China's spacecraft containing its rover, will spend months looking carefully at Mars' surface, studying its rocks and looking for water. The US's and China's missions are aimed at sending rovers on Mars for collecting samples. However, Al Amal (「希望」), the UAE 's mission, has a smaller appetite. It only wants to observe the planet via its orbiter (軌道太空船).
