Genghis Khan (成吉思汗) was one of the most powerful leaders in the world. He was the founder of the Mongol Empire who conquered many lands.
He grew up hunting across the plateau. His father was the ruler of the ruling tribe of the Mongols. When he was young, his father was killed by a rival tribe so he became the leader of their tribe. He was a respected leader because he promoted officials based on loyalty and achievements but not their background.
He continued to conquer more and more tribes and united a lot of tribes into a nation. He did not stop but set out to conquer other lands, making the Mongol Empire one of the largest empires in world history.
