Comic﹕Eason's e-pal
【明報專訊】Nowadays we can find almost everything in the digital world, including your "pals". It's common to make friends online but it's not wise to give money to an e-pal (網友) whom you haven't even met him or her in person.
“ Eason: I've been fighting alone. No one to talk to. I'm tired... ”
“On line﹕You always have my support! The Smarties will soon be defeated! ”
“ Eason: Thank you for everything! ”
“ MoMo: Where's the currency exchange store? My friend urgently need my help! ”
“ Pat: I've never seen Eason running that fast... ”
“ Pat: Well...It's not a small sum of money... ”
“ MoMo: You don't even know your friend's real name, do you? ”
“ Eason: He's... She's... my... friend! ”
■English highway﹕Question tags
Question tags are the short phrases that we put at the end of sentences, particularly in spoken English. They are mainly used
1) when we want to confirm that something is true or not, or
2) to encourage a reply from the person we are speaking to.
General rule:
If the main part of the sentence is positive, the question tag is negative, vice versa.
e.g. You work in a hospital, don't you?
The teacher isn't coming, is she?
