◆Celebrity
The 15 year-old Mak Cheuk-wing (麥卓穎) is a local windsurfer who has won the girls' under-15s title at the 2016 Techno 293 World Championships in Italy. Since then, Mak has participated in various games, which has earned her a seat in the coming 2018 Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
◆Check-in
There are two water sports centres in Stanley offering windsurfing classes for learners, namely Stanley Main Beach Water Sports Centre (赤柱正灘水上活動中心, picture) and St Stephen's Beach Water Sports Centre (聖士提反灣水上活動中心). Visitors can also observe windsurfers practice or watch local and international competitions hosted near the shore.
