Readers' corner﹕A day at Happy Farm

This summer holiday, my parents and I went to Happy Farm. It was in the New Territories. When we walked on the farm, we saw a lot of fruit and vegetables. There were carrots, corn, strawberries, watermelons, etc. I had a greedy thought, "These are so mouth-watering (令人垂涎的). I want to take one tiny bite."
I saw two naughty kids throwing some rubbish at the ducks in the pond. I was very angry so I told the manager who was passing by. The manager was cross with the children. He scolded them and told them not to do that again. The children apologised and said that they were very sorry for what they had done. They learnt that they should not throw rubbish anywhere they want!

“ Pat: Well done Rachel! You've shown your talent for capturing people's mood. You have a good grasp of tenses and a wide range of vocabulary is used. Also, you're a well-mannered kid! Keep it up! ”
■English highway﹕
cross with (somebody)
If you are cross with somebody, you are angry with that person. The preposition "for" may be added if you want to mention the reason.
e.g. Joseph is cross with May for not arriving on time.
