Compass andmaps
- Find out where you are with compass and maps. Don't rely on your phones too much as you might lost connection in remote areas.
Sunglasses, cap water bottle, sunscreen
- It is very important to stay hydrated and protect yourself from heatstroke because hiking usually takes a long time.
Backpack
- A backpack frees up your hands to prevent falls and let you maintain balance when walking on hills.
Non-slip shoes, hiking staff (行山杖) and first-aid kit
- Make sure you walk carefully in the mountains and don't get injured!
Torch
- In case you are trapped, use a torch to send signals to hikers around you and ask for help.
