【明報專訊】加拿大環境部預測﹐炎熱天氣將持續至今日。今天最高氣溫有34度左右﹐在濕熱效應下﹐將令人感到有如攝氏40度的翳焗。但當太陽落山後﹐氣溫則下降至只有攝氏21度。
然而﹐一股較冷的氣流將於明日移至南安省地區﹔屆時炎熱警告可望解除。
多倫多市政府昨日亦發出酷熱警告﹔同時開放市內7個消暑中心﹐分別為﹕
• Metro Hall, 55 John St. (24 hours)
• East York Civic Centre, 850 Coxwell Ave. (上午11 時至晚上 7 時)
• North York Civic Centre, 5100 Yonge St. (上午11 時至晚上 7 時)
• Driftwood Community Centre, 4401 Jane St. (上午11 時至晚上 7 時)
• Etobicoke Civic Centre, 399 The West Mall (上午11 時至晚上 7 時.)
• McGregor Community Centre, 2231 Lawrence Ave. E. (上午11 時至晚上 7 時)
• Centennial Community Centre, 1967 Ellesmere Rd. (上午11 時至晚上 7 時)
市府又鼓勵市民發揮守望相助的精神﹐留意獨居鄰居的情況﹐如有需要可打311求助。
