【明報專訊】The 2016 Asia Cup Canoe Sprint and Marathon Competition, Hong Kong will be held from 16 to 18 December, 2016 at Shing Mun River, Shatin (沙田城門河).

What's the difference between a canoe and a kayak? A canoe has an open deck which can comfortably fit two to three people whereas a kayak has a closed deck and is designed for one person. In addition, in a kayak, the paddler is seated and uses a double-bladed paddle pulling the blade through the water on alternate sides to move forward. In a canoe, the paddler kneels and uses a single-bladed paddle to propel the boat forward.
