Writing station﹕Recommending a film
【明報專訊】Pat has just watched a film. She likes it so much that she can't wait to recommend it to the other Smarties. Have you watched any films lately? How do you find them? What film is your all-time favourite? Why?
◆Examples:
1. Inside Out (《玩轉腦朋友》) is not only entertaining but also inspiring.
2. To be loved by Pat, a film must star a handsome actor.
3. The special effects in Gravity (《引力邊緣》) are just mind-blowing.
No wonder it won the Best Visual Effects award at the Oscars.

There are two types of film reviews - journalistic and academic. Journalistic film reviews are those written by film critics. One may read them in newspapers, magazines or websites. In contrast, academic criticisms are written by scholars and published in academic journals (學術期刊). They usually explore topics like messages films convey and their influence on people.
